Elijah Just, a New Zealander born on 1 May 2000 and aged 25, is a forward, plying his trade as a right winger for Motherwell. He is not the most imposing physical presence on the football pitch standing only 5ft 8in (1.74m) tall and weighing 10st 12lb (69kg). Representing New Zealand on an international level, he wears the number 21 jersey whenever he takes to the field.
Just's current market value is a modest £258K, a figure obtained from Transfermarkt.
A product of Eastern Suburbs academy back in his homeland, Just made his first professional move to FC Helsingør, a club in Denmark's 2. division back in July 2019. His performances with Helsingor caught the eyes of AC Horsens in the 1. division who secured his services in August 2022 for an undisclosed fee.
Proving his worth during his debut season with Horsens in the 2022-2023 season, Just made 27 first team appearances in league matches. Despite his consistent appearances, his journey with Horsens took a temporary detour with a loan move to Austria's St. Polten in the 2. Liga in August 2024. He wasted no time in making his mark, scoring six goals and making 19 first team appearances in league matches.
His journey across Europe continued in July 2025, when Just made a permanent move from Denmark's 1. division club AC Horsens, to Scotland's Premiership side, Motherwell. In the current season, 2025 - 2026, Just has already made eight first team appearances and scored two goals in league matches for Motherwell. His performances have been equally impressive in the League Cup where he contributed five starts and one appearance as a substitute.
Just's talents were not constrained to club football. He represented his home nation in the World Cup Qualifiers Oceania 2024 - 2026, where he played a vital role scoring four goals in only one start. His composure in front of the goal post reflects his contributions both internationally and domestic league competitions.
