His progression continued into the subsequent season where he made five first-team appearances.
September 2020 saw Youan ready for a change of scenery, shifting from Nantes to the Swiss Super League's St. Gallen on loan. Finding his momentum in Switzerland, Youan made 29 first-team appearances and scored five goals in league matches in the 2020 - 2021 season. This promising form continued into the next season, where he logged an additional 18 appearances and six goals.
In July 2021, Youan's successful loan spell at St. Gallen became a permanent move, his transfer finalised for around £450k. After two productive seasons in Switzerland, Youan transferred to Mechelen in the Pro League in Belgium on loan in January 2022.
After a short stint in Belgium, Youan was on the move again, this time heading to Scotland in July 2022 to play on loan with Hibernian. Youan put in solid performances during the 2022 - 2023 season, amassing 36 appearances and nine goals. The 2023 - 2024 season saw a drop in numbers, although Youan still made a notable contribution with 31 appearances and five goals. Although the following seasons saw fewer appearances and goals, Youan remained a consistent presence for the Hibs.
July 2023 brought a permanent move to Hibernian for a figure in the region of £500k. Now firmly established in Scottish football, he has remained with Hibernian to the present day, playing the 2025 - 2026 season as a Hibs regular.
Beyond league matches, Youan has also proven an asset to Hibernian in cup competitions and European fixtures, making appearances in tournaments including the Scottish Cup, League Cup, and European competition qualifiers during the 2025 -2026 season.
