Our lad, Dylan Wells, a true product of Scotland, was brought into this world on the 20th of March, 2006. Now, aged 19, this spirited professional footballer is holding the central midfield for Motherwell, a promising figure in Scottish Premiership. The lad is not a towering figure as such, stands exactly 5ft 6in tall (or for our continental friends, that's 1.7m), and weighs in at a healthy 10st 3lb (or 65kg in metric). You'll see that number 27 jersey running around the pitch, just know that it's our Wells.
He's not been always a Steelman though. His journey to Motherwell started in July 2022 when he joined the club, marking his first experience in Scottish Premiership. His debut season, 2023 - 2024, saw him getting a taste of the big league action, making an appearance in the main team. It repeated in the 2024 - 2025 season but his appearances have since taken a bit of a hit. The current season 2025 - 2026 has yet to see Wells making an appearance for the Motherwell's first team.
But that's not conveying the whole story. In fact, Wells had a brief stint away from Motherwell in September 2024. An off-season loan to Edinburgh City, a League Two club in Scotland was his abode. But he found his way back to Motherwell by June 2025, upon completion of his loan. Despite his return, his presence on the field has been rather quiet. The 2023 - 2024 and 2024 - 2025 seasons each saw a single first-team appearance from him, and the current 2025 - 2026 season has been without his name on the team sheet so far.
