Dylan Lobban, that elusive creature known as a 'midfielder', was born on the 26th of August 2005 putting him at the ripe old age of 20, according to the calendar. A Scottish native, he has dedicated the better part of his career to hoofing the ball around for Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership. If you're curious, he resides on the pitch as a central attacking midfielder, a position as exotic and complex as it sounds. As for his physical stature, he clocks in at about 5ft 8 in (or 1.75m for those who prefer scales with a touch of European flair) and he weighs approximately 10st 9lb (or 68kg if decimal points and kilos are more your thing). And as for his jersey, look no further than the number 38.
Lobban’s navigated some tricky waters with his transfer history, no doubt haggling over tea and biscuits in boardrooms around Scotland. Making the fledgeling leap in July 2020, he was hobnobbed by Aberdeen straight out of the womb as a trainee. But it didn’t take long, just a scant three years to August 2023, to pick up his kit and take a wee adventure to Formartine United in the Highland League on a loan spell as refreshing as a Highland breeze.
However, his romantic sojourn amidst the heather and bagpipes didn’t last terribly long. Perhaps missing the city lights, he repacked his bags in January 2024, to hit the wild urban sprawl that is Forfar Athletic in Scotland's League Two. Again, on loan, showing no signs of commitment issues.
One half-expects him to have acquired a severe case of whiplash, for no sooner than June 2024 came around, Lobban retraced his steps all the way back to Aberdeen. This adventure was followed by yet another loan stint starting in September 2024, at Cove Rangers in League One.
By now it seems he was playing boomerang with his career, for he sprung straight back to Aberdeen, again, on the completion of his loan by June 2025. One can only hope that his loyalty card at the Aberdeen football club canteen has been adequately stamped. In the following season of 2025-2026, he managed to chalk up four starts in the Conference League whilst pretending to not be completely knackered from all the back-and-forth.
