Born on the 5th of March 2005 in the Netherlands, the young Dutch defender Djomar Giersthove currently plies his trade with Feyenoord - an impressive achievement at the tender age of 20. Standing at a strapping 6 feet (1.85m) tall and tipping the scales at 11 stone 9 pounds (74kg), Giersthove offers balance and physicality in one of the game’s most critical positions - centre back. The number 48 shirt, which he dons, is a testament to the trust his team places in him.
Though Giersthove's time in Feyenoord's first team has been limited thus far, it's important to remember he is still a blooming talent. His debut season of 2024-2025 saw him make a single appearance for the first team, a vital stepping stone in his professional career. At the time of writing during the 2025-2026 season, Giersthove is yet to make his mark on the pitch for the Feyenoord first team again. But, with his age and the promise he's shown, it's only a matter of time before he's locking horns with the top tiers of the Eredivisie.
