Diego Rossi, born in Uruguay on 5 March 1998 (age 28), is a compact 5ft 7in (1.70m) attacking midfielder with Columbus Crew. Wearing number 10, he is the sort of midfielder whose value is tied heavily to end product rather than neat touches in harmless areas.
His most productive league season came at Los Angeles FC in 2019, when he scored 16 goals in 34 appearances. That is serious output for a player working from midfield areas, and it explains why his name tends to surface when clubs are looking for someone who can add goals without being a conventional striker.
At Columbus Crew, Rossi has scored six goals in 18 appearances across all competitions, including six in 15 MLS matches and three further appearances in the MLS Cup play-offs. His current market value is around £7m, according to Transfermarkt.
He was linked with a move to Celtic in December 2025 while at Columbus Crew. The broad shape of his career is clear enough: a Uruguayan attacking midfielder who made a strong scoring mark at Los Angeles FC and has continued to offer goal threat in MLS with Columbus.
