Deniz Undav, born on 19 July 1996 (age 30), is a German striker with Stuttgart. His career has been a gradual climb rather than a straight line, with early loan spells forming part of the slow build before he became a reliable senior forward.
The clear breakthrough came at Union Saint-Gilloise in 2021-2022, when he scored 25 league goals in 33 appearances. That season remains the most productive league campaign of his career, and it gave proper weight to a player who had taken the longer road to that level.
Undav is now with Stuttgart, wearing squad number 26. In 2026-2027 he has made three Bundesliga appearances and one Champions League appearance, giving him four matches in all competitions for the club. His current market value is around £17m, according to Transfermarkt.
He has also been involved with Germany this season, making four World Cup appearances and scoring three goals. His career to this point is that of a striker who developed outside the usual fast-track routes, found a major scoring season in Belgium, and has since established himself in the Bundesliga picture.
