Declan Gallagher, born on 13 February 1991 in Scotland, currently serves as a central defender for Dundee United. Standing tall at 6ft 5in (1.96m) and weighing in at 14st 9lb (93kg), he dons the number 31 jersey.
He started his honourable football journey with Celtic. The Scotsman spent the season of 2010 - 2011 at Stranraer on loan from the Hoops. While there, he recorded three goals in 26 first team appearances. The second half of 2011 found him at Clyde, another Scottish club, where he managed two goals from 25 appearances.
Gallagher graced the Scottish Premiership again in July 2012 after transferring from Clyde to Dundee, where he played for two seasons. He appeared 60 times for the top-flight side and scored four times. He later joined Livingston in 2014 after leaving Dundee. He turned out in many cowboy costumes for the Championship side across several seasons, scoring a handful of goals. After a short laugh in 2016, he returned back to Livingston for more action.
In 2019, Gallagher took his talents to Motherwell in the top-flight, scoring three goals in almost sixty appearances over two seasons. Then the following summer saw him at Aberdeen, where he spent one year. Post-Aberdeen, Gallagher suited up for St Mirren, where he notched two goals in 27 league matches.
Currently, he features for Dundee United, to which he transferred in July 2023. He's played 56 times for the Terrors so far and participated in the Scottish Cup and League Cup. His current market value is approximately £211k according to Transfermarkt, and his contract with Dundee United is set to run till 31 May 2025.
