Daniel Klein (born 13 March 2001, age 25) is a German goalkeeper with Aberdeen, where he wears the number 30 shirt. At a commanding 6ft 3in (1.91m), he has the frame expected of a senior keeper, though his first-team record remains fairly compact.
Sandhausen is the clear reference point in his career. In the 2023-24 season, Klein made four league appearances for the German club, the senior football that gives his career its main shape so far.
He is now part of the Aberdeen squad. His profile is straightforward: a German goalkeeper whose career to date is defined chiefly by Sandhausen, with the next stage being built in Scotland.
