Daniel Arzani, born in Khorramabad, Iran on 4 January 1999 (age 27), is a compact Australian right winger now with Ferencvaros. At 5ft 7in (1.71m), his game has always been more about movement and close control than physical presence.
His Celtic connection came early. Arzani joined Celtic from Manchester City in August 2018, a move that carried a bit of curiosity rather than certainty. It was a neat enough idea on paper, though football has a habit of making paper look optimistic.
His most productive league campaign came back in Australia with Melbourne Victory in 2023-24, when he scored four goals in 27 appearances. That season gave his career a more settled shape after a stop-start spell in Europe.
Arzani is now at Ferencvaros, wearing squad number 14. His current market value is around £340,000, according to Transfermarkt. His career has taken him from Australia to Celtic, back to Melbourne, and on again to Hungary, with the winger still working to turn talent into a steadier run of senior football.
