Scarlett kicked off his professional football journey in July 2019 when he joined Tottenham Hotspur as a trainee. This trend carried on into season 2021 - 2022, but by the 2023 - 2024 season, Scarlett had appeared in four first team matches. In July 2022, Scarlett transferred from Tottenham to Portsmouth on loan in the Championship.
