Born in Wales on 13 July 1979, Craig Bellamy is a former professional footballer. Bellamy, primarily a striker, boasts an impressive figure of 1.75m (5ft 8in) in height and a fit weight of 69kg (10st 12lb). His football prowess didn't go unnoticed, enabling him to represent the Great Britain national team.
His football journey began in January 1996 when he joined Norwich City in the Championship in England as a trainee. He progressed through the ranks quite quickly, making his debut in the 1996 - 1997 season. During his tenure at Norwich, Bellamy made various notable contributions, most memorably scoring 13 goals in 36 league matches in the 1997 - 1998 season.
The prowess he exhibited at Norwich City earned him a transfer to Coventry City in August 2000 for a healthy fee of around £6.5m. However, his time at Coventry was brief, transferring to Newcastle United the following year in June 2001, captured for around £6m.
Reflecting upon his seasons at Newcastle United, his performances were consistent and fruitful. He flourished in particular in the 2004 - 2005 season where he contributed seven goals in 21 league matches.
In January 2005, Bellamy had a spell at Celtic in the Premiership in Scotland on loan. Despite being there for only a short period, his form was outstanding, making 12 appearances and netting seven goals - a fine return indeed.
After his impressive display at Celtic, Bellamy was transferred in July 2005 to Blackburn Rovers for a fee of around £5m. His journey brought him to Liverpool next in June 2006 for a fee of around £6m. His performance at Liverpool was solid, scoring seven goals in 27 league matches in the 2006 - 2007 season.
In July 2007, Bellamy switched over to West Ham United for around £7.5m. After a few seasons there, a notable transfer to Manchester City followed in January 2009 for a value of around £14m. He had a decent run at the club, particularly in the season 2009 - 2010, where he tallied ten goals in 32 league games.
A loan transfer to Cardiff City in August 2010 showcased another commendable performance of 11 goals in 35 league matches for the 2010 - 2011 season. Then, in August 2011, he moved back to Liverpool under an undisclosed fee.
This trend of switching between clubs continued with Bellamy moving back to Cardiff City in August 2012.
