Corrie Ndaba, born on Christmas day in 1999 and originating from the Republic of Ireland, is a solid defender who primarily fulfils the role of a left back for Kilmarnock. A commanding presence on the pitch, Ndaba stands at 6ft 2in (1.88m) tall and weighs in at a grounded 12st 12lb (82kg). Currently, he dons the number 3 jersey for his club.
His football journey began in earnest in July 2016, when the Premier League club Ipswich Town took him on as a trainee. He plied his trade there for several years, developing his skills and football acuity, until he sought new challenges in the realm of Scottish Football. In January 2021, Ndaba was loaned out to Ayr United, a team in the Scottish Championship.
Continuing his travels around the English and Scottish footballing landscape, he switched from Ipswich to Salford City of the English League Two on loan in August 2021. Ndaba's nomadic footballing career continued as he moved from Ipswich Town to Burton Albion in the English League One in August 2022, making seven appearances for the first team in his debut season.
Short-lived, however, this stint was followed by another loan spell, this time at Fleetwood Town. He joined them in January 2023 as a loanee from Ipswich, yet his time there saw minimal action on pitch, only managing three appearances in first team league matches during the 2022-2023 season.
The notion of a settled career began to take shape once he joined Kilmarnock in Scotland. Initially, he moved on loan in July 2023. That season he made an impressive 28 first team appearances and also opened his goal-scoring tally for the Scottish Premiership outfit. Going into the 2024/2025 season, Ndaba's form held steadfast, managing 21 appearances and netting a goal.
Finally, shunning his previous ephemeral associations with clubs, Ndaba made a permanent move from Ipswich Town to Kilmarnock in July 2024 for an undisclosed fee. It seems a good fit for the Irish defender, as he continues to demonstrate impressive form with 21 appearances and a goal in the current season.
His on-field performances also reflected on the cup front where he has participated in the Scottish Cup 2024 - 2025 for Kilmarnock with one start, and also had a brush with European football, making an appearance as a substitute in the Conference League Qualifiers 2024 - 2025 for Kilmarnock.
As the tale of Corrie Ndaba continues to unfold, one certainty remains - wherever his career takes him next, he carries the potential to make a lasting impact.
