Connor Ronan, born 6 March 1998 (age 28), is a Republic of Ireland midfielder with Aberdeen, operating mainly in central midfield. His career has been shaped less by one clean breakthrough than by a series of senior spells away from his parent club, with those loans giving him the football that young midfielders tend to need more than another year of polite praise.
The most useful of those periods came at St Mirren in 2021-2022. Ronan scored seven league goals in 27 appearances, a strong return from midfield and comfortably his most productive league season. It was the spell that showed he could influence matches in Scotland rather than simply keep the ball moving neatly.
At Aberdeen in 2026-2027, Ronan has made eight league appearances and scored two league goals, along with six League Cup appearances. Across all competitions for the club, he has 14 appearances and two goals.
Ronan’s career to this point has been that of an established professional midfielder who has built his case through practical senior football. St Mirren remains the standout spell, with Aberdeen now the latest stage in a career grounded in steady Scottish top-flight work.
