Ah, Coll Donaldson, a true journeyman of the beautiful game. Born 9th of April 1995 (making the lad now at the ripe age of 31) in the bonny lands of Scotland. A sturdy defender, primarily running guard in the centre for the well-respected Falkirk. Boasting an impressive 6ft 2in (or 1.88m for those inclined towards less traditional metric) and tipping the scales at 12st 12lb (or a commendable 82kg). Sports the number 6 across his back, quite an appropriate number for a defender wouldn't you say?
Now this might shock you to your very core, but his current market value is a whopping €100k, or around, £85k in our own fine currency, according to those smart blokes over at Transfermarkt.
The lad's been around, no doubt about it. Starting in the Premiership with Livingston in July 2012, he graced the pitch a significant five times in his debut season. He upped this to an utterly earth-shattering 19 appearances and even banged in a goal for good measure the following season.
In January 2014, Donaldson thought it best to take his talents south to Queens Park Rangers in the Championship for a sum of around £150k. It seems the English air wasn't entirely to his liking with only a single appearance made in the green fields of England.
By July 2015, Donaldson seemed to miss the heather and thistle and returned to Scotland to play for Dundee United in the Premiership. After bouncing back and forth, Donaldson finally settled with Falkirk in the Premiership in July 2022.
Donaldson's career, much like the ebb and flow of the tides, has seen him gracing fields from Inverness to Dunfermline, borrowing and loaning his service like a well-worn library book. Despite his nomadic nature, he's managed a respectable number of appearances and even a few goals for his various employers.
As of this current season (2025 - 2026 for those not paying close attention), our man Coll Donaldson has already been seen on the pitch an admirable eight times for Falkirk. He’s even participated in the Scottish Cup, boasting two starts. Ah, breath-taking stuff really. One can only hope that the lad continues to bring his particular brand of football to many more matches in the years to come. There's never a dull moment with old Coll, I assure you.
