Clark Robertson

Clark Robertson of Dundee was born in Aberdeen, Scotland on 5 September 1993 (age 32).

Clark Robertson, a Scotsman born on the 5th of September 1993, is currently a 32-year-old professional footballer, who operates primarily as a central defender. This highly proficient defender, standing at 6ft 2in (1.88m) and maintaining a weight of 12st 1lb (77kg), is currently lending his talents to Dundee, a Premiership team based in his homeland, Scotland. Robertson is easily recognisable on the pitch by his choice of the number 3 jersey.

Financially, Robertson is evaluated to possess a market value of approximately £170k, according to the reputable football statistics site, Transfermarkt.

In July 2009, Robertson commenced his professional football journey with Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership. His debut season between 2009 - 2010 was rather quiet, as he managed only three first-team appearances in league matches. In the following seasons at Aberdeen, Robertson found his feet, garnering 13 appearances in 2010 - 2011, 9 appearances in 2011 - 2012, 23 appearances in 2012 - 2013 and 8 appearances in 2013 - 2014. However, in the season of 2014 - 2015, Robertson only managed to make a single appearance in league matches.

Seeking a new challenge, Robertson transferred from Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership to Blackpool in the English League One in July 2015. The defender started gaining momentum, registering 38 first-team appearances and scoring one goal in the 2015 - 2016 season. The following season, 2016 - 2017, saw Robertson maintain his strong form, making 44 first-team appearances and once again finding the back of the net. Though his appearances dropped to 22 in 2017 - 2018, Robertson’s consistency remained nonpareil.

In July 2018, Robertson switched from Blackpool to Rotherham United, both clubs based in the League One in England. Here, Robertson continued his streak, notably scoring 3 goals in 28 appearances during the 2018 - 2019 season. However, in the 2020 - 2021 season, Robertson's appearances dipped a little bit, as he made just 16 appearances during league matches.

Robertson made another move in July 2021, this time to Portsmouth, based in the English Championship. He made 16 first-team appearances in the 2022 - 2023 season.

In July 2023, Robertson's professional journey saw him leave the United Kingdom for the first time, as he transferred from Portsmouth to FC Ashdod in the Israeli Premier League. His stint in Israel was fruitfully spent, with the defender making 19 appearances and netting two goals in his debut 2023–2024 season.

After a year abroad, in July 2024, Robertson returned to Scotland, transferring from FC Ashdod to Dundee. He secured a reputable 21 first-team appearances during the 2024–2025 season, and in the ongoing 2025–2026 season, Robertson has already made eight appearances in league matches.

Beyond league engagements, Robertson has also shown remarkable performance in the Cup matches, scoring two goals in two starts in the League Cup 2025 - 2026 for Dundee and one goal in two starts in the Scottish Cup 2024 - 2025 for Dundee.
