Christopher Jullien, born on the 22nd of March 1993 in France, is a 31-year-old footballer who currently plays as a central defender for the French side, Montpellier. Towering at a height of 6ft 5in (1.96m) and with a weight of 13st 12lb (88kg), Jullien sports the number 6 for his team.
This talented Frenchman began his professional career with Auxerre, in the French Ligue 1, in July 2012. He scored two goals in 25 first-team appearances during his debut season of 2012-13.
By July 2013, Jullien had moved from Auxerre to Bundesliga outfit, Freiburg. Sadly, he only made one first-team outing in the league during his time there in the 2014-15 season.
A fresh start beckoned in July 2015, with Jullien heading on loan to French side Dijon. He discovered his form here, netting nine times in 34 first-team league appearances during the 2015-2016 season.
Christopher Jullien's standing as a solid defender led to a transfer from Freiburg to Ligue 1 side Toulouse in July 2016. His transfer fee was in the region of ÂŁ2.3m. Jullien spent three seasons at Toulouse, scoring six goals from 99 first-team league appearances.
In July 2019, Scottish Premiership club, Celtic, took notice of his talents and paid a reported fee of ÂŁ7m to secure his services. His two seasons with the Glasgow club were a valuable period, delivering five goals in thirty-seven first-team league appearances. In particular, his second term (season 2020 - 2021) saw him scoring a crucial goal for Celtic.
August 2022 marked Jullien's return to France, as he got transferred to Montpellier from Celtic, for an undisclosed fee. Jullien played for Montpellier for three seasons, where during the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons, he made a collective fifty first-team appearances, finding the back of the net once. In the current season (2024 - 2025), however, he has yet to make his first appearance.
