Caolan Boyd-Munce, a professional footballer, was born on 26 January 2000 in Northern Ireland, and is presently playing as a midfielder, mainly in central positions, for St Mirren. He stands at an average height for a footballer, being 5ft 10in (1.8m) tall and weighs 11st 2lb (71kg). His current shirt number is 15. Along with his club career, Boyd-Munce has had the honour to represent the Northern Ireland national team on an international platform.
In July 2015, at the mere age of 15, Boyd-Munce embarked on his professional football journey by joining Glentoran, a team competing in the Northern Irish Premiership. His debut season with Glentoran (2015 - 2016) witnessed him getting limited exposure, with just one appearance on the field in league matches.
A year later, in July 2016, Boyd-Munce made a significant move in his career by transferring to English club, Birmingham City, positioned in League One at the time. The specific transfer fee remains undisclosed. His tenure at Birmingham City, while extending over several seasons, unfortunately saw him making sparse first team appearances; six league match appearances in the 2019 - 2020 season and a solitary appearance the following 2020 - 2021 season.
Boyce-Munce’s career led him further north in January 2022, when he transferred to Championship club, Middlesbrough, again for an undisclosed fee. His tenure at Middlesbrough mirrored his time at Birmingham; limited first team action with one appearance in each of the seasons, 2021 - 2022 and 2022 - 2023.
In March 2023, the midfielder made his foray into Scottish Football, transferring to Premiership side, St Mirren. This move brought about an appreciable increase in his on-field contributions. He made three appearances during his initial 2022 - 2023 season, followed by an impressive 35 in the 2023 - 2024 term. Currently, during the 2024 - 2025 season, Boyd-Munce has already made 30 appearances and netted five goals.
Alongside his regular league duties, Boyd-Munce made his mark in the Scottish Cup 2024 - 2025 for St Mirren, scoring once over two appearances - one being a start and the other as a substitute. He was also actively seen in St Mirren’s charge during the Conference League Qualifiers 2024 - 2025 with three starting appearances.
