Cameron Carter-Vickers, a born and bred Englishman, sees out his playing days in the Scottish footballing world as a defender. Currently plying his trade at Celtic, Carter-Vickers holds the fort as a central defender. At 26 years of age, his dimensions stand at a solid 6 ft and 14st 6lb. Furthermore, Carter-Vickers sports the number 20 kit and has been capped by the United States national team.
His participation for Celtic in the 2024-2025 season is relatively scant as he has only played in two Premiership games so far. In the preceding season of 2023-2024, Carter-Vickers graced the Champions League three times, twice in the Scottish Cup, and once in the Copa America 2024.
Having cut his teeth as a young footballer at Tottenham Hotspur back in July 2009, Carter-Vickers would find himself as a trainee operating in the prestigious surroundings of the Premier League. A series of loan spells followed as he bounced around England, finding himself at Sheffield United, Ipswich Town, Swansea City, Stoke City, Luton Town, and eventually Bournemouth from 2017 to 2020.
However, he found his permanent home in August 2021, switching Tottenham's Premier League theatre for Celtic’s powerhouse in the Scottish Premiership. Initially joining on a loan deal, his move was made permanent in July 2022 for a £6m fee.
Throughout his nomadic journey in football, Carter-Vickers notched up a commendable game time tally. His debut season at Sheffield United saw him make 17 appearances, scoring a lone goal. Ipswich Town and Swansea City stints boasted 17 and 30 appearances respectively.
Moving on, Stoke City saw him grace the pitch 12 times with Luton Town witnessing a higher tally of 16. Bournemouth saw his presence 21 times with a single goal added to his tally. His scoring prowess seemed to have blossomed once he reached Celtic with a total of five goals under his belt whilst clocking up 89 appearances for the Hoops.
