Crowned with numerous loan transfers, Carter-Vickers' football journey brought him to various clubs in England including Sheffield United in August 2017 where he made 17 appearances and scored one goal. Post Sheffield, he was on boards with Ipswich Town (17 appearances), Swansea City (30 appearances), Stoke City (12 appearances), and Luton Town (16 appearances) consecutively.
Subsequent to his time in Luton, Carter-Vickers landed at Bournemouth in October 2020 where he contributed by making 21 appearances and scoring a single goal. Nevertheless, it was his transfer to Celtic in the Premiership in Scotland in August 2021 that truly amplified his impact on the pitch.
