Calum Waters, born in Glasgow on 10 March 1996 (age 30), came through Celtic as a trainee before his senior career took shape elsewhere. His Celtic connection was an early one rather than the main body of his work, but it remains the starting point of the story.
He left Celtic for Alloa Athletic in July 2016 and quickly found regular football. The 2016–17 season was his most productive league campaign, with one goal in 36 appearances for Alloa. Spells with Alloa and Kilmarnock followed before he became more firmly established at Greenock Morton.
Waters is now back with Alloa Athletic, operating mainly at left-back. In 2025–26 he has made 13 League One appearances and scored two goals, along with four Championship play-off appearances and one goal. Across all competitions for Alloa that season, he has 17 appearances and three goals.
His career has been that of a Scottish professional who started at Celtic, moved on for football, and built his name through steady spells in the lower leagues, with Alloa a recurring part of it.
