Emerging from the misty cradle of English football, Callum Slattery first graced the pitch on February 8th, 1999. This midfielder, with a knack for keeping the game fluid and steady from his central defensive position, currently plies his trade for the Scottish side Motherwell. His years of experience have afforded him the honour of wearing the number 8 jersey, a significant symbol of authority on the pitch. Standing tall at 6ft 1in (1.86m) and boasting a solid figure of 12st 10lb (81kg), Slattery carries both the metaphorical and physical weight of his team's midfield.
His time on the field and consistent performance have imprinted a market value for Slattery, estimated to be around €400k, or roughly £340k, if we were to align with the assessment offered by Transfermarkt.
Even as a bright-eyed trainee in July 2015, Slattery found himself swept into the rigour of English Championship as part of Southampton. By the seasons of 2018/19, Slattery was confidently facing competitors alongside his team's first eleven, a total of three times in league matches.
The winds of change pushed Slattery onto a loan spell at De Graafschap in Netherlands's Eerste Divisie in January 2020. During his time there, he adorned the first team's line-up on five occasions, even leaving his signature on the scoreline in one of the contests.
Continuing his journey on loan, Slattery was seen donning the colours of Gillingham in England's League Two come January 2021, a rotation in his career that marked his return to the grounds of familiar English football.
However, it was in July 2021 that Slattery found his path veering towards Scottish football, as he secured a transfer to Motherwell in the Premiership, the details of which remain undisclosed. Fast forward from his initial steps on Scottish soil to the current 2025/26 season, and you'll find Slattery still honing his craft in Motherwell. It's here he’s tallied an impressive 31, 29, 20, 15 and 6 appearances respectively across five seasons, whilst rippling the net a total of fourteen times.
His contributions aren't limited to league matches alone. In the League Cup of 2025/26, Slattery has dutifully assumed his position on four occasions from the start, and once as a substitute. Similarly, in the Scottish Cup of the 2024/25 season, Slattery was seen stepping up from the bench once to bolster his team's performance.
