Hendry's career includes a diverse array of clubs. In July 2017, he moved from Blackburn Rovers in the Championship in England to St Johnstone in the Championship in Scotland. Contributions during his time at St Johnstone included five first-team appearances in the 2017-2018 season, 12 appearances and two goals in the 2018-2019 season, 20 appearances along with seven goals in the 2019-2020 season, 16 appearances in the 2020-2021 season, and 19 appearances with eight goals during the 2021-2022 season.
