Bright Arrey-Mbi

Bright Arrey-Mbi of SC Braga was born in Kaarst, Germany on 26 March 2003 (age 22).

Bright Arrey-Mbi, born on the 26th of March 2003 in Germany, is a formidable defender, currently holding the centre-back position for SC Braga. Standing tall at 6 feet 2 inches (1.88m), and holding a formidable weight of 12st 8lb (80kg), his physical prowess on the field is notable. Off the field, he wears the number 26 jersey, a nod perhaps to his day of birth. Arrey-Mbi's talents have also landed him representation for the German U21 national team. As of this moment, his market value is around £5m, according to the stats on Transfermarkt. Arrey-Mbi's journey between teams began in July 2019, when he bade farewell to Chelsea in the Premier League and cast his lot with Bundesliga's Bayern Munich. Barely three years later, in January 2022, he transferred to Cologne, also in the Bundesliga, on loan. By August of the same year, Arrey-Mbi found himself transferred once again, this time to Hannover 96 in the 2. Bundesliga, again on loan. He had a strong showing with Hannover 96, making 15 appearances in the league during the 2022 - 2023 season and 32 the following year. By July 2023, Arrey-Mbi made the decision to transfer permanently from Bayern Munich to Hannover 96. His performance continued to strike a promising note, given his 32 appearances on the field the following league season. In a twist of fate, July 2024 saw Arrey-Mbi trade the hues of Hannover 96 for SC Braga in Liga Portugal, where he was transferred for a fee of around £5.3m. Since his move, Arrey-Mbi has already made 15 appearances in the 2024 - 2025 season, and three in the current season of 2025 - 2026. Bright Arrey-Mbi's presence has been felt beyond the league games as well. He participated five times, with one substitute appearance, in the UEFA U21 Qualifiers 2025 for Germany U21. The Europa League Qualifiers for 2025 - 2026 saw him grace SC Braga's squad twice, with an additional substitute appearance. His presence once again shone through in the Europa League 2025 - 2026, with Arrey-Mbi starting in two matches for SC Braga.
