Brad Lyons (born 26 May 1997, age 29) is a Northern Ireland central midfielder with Aberdeen, wearing the number 8 shirt. His senior career has been built on steady first-team work rather than much noise, which is no bad thing for a midfielder.
His strongest early league return came at Coleraine in 2016-2017, when he scored five goals in 24 appearances. That spell gave him useful senior mileage at a stage when regular football mattered more than polish.
In 2026-2027, Lyons has made five league appearances for Aberdeen, scoring once. He has also played four times in the League Cup, with one goal, and once in the Scottish Cup, taking him to 10 appearances and two goals across all competitions for the club.
He has remained involved internationally too, making two appearances for Northern Ireland in European World Cup qualifying this season. His career to this point is that of a practical, established midfielder who has worked his way through senior football and into Aberdeen’s first-team picture.
