Ben McCrystal, our young but already accomplished Scottish prospect, was born on the 11th of March, 2006, making him 19 years of age. Though native of Scotland, he now plies his trade as a forward, specifically in the role of a left-winger. He does this for his current team, St Johnstone, where he carries the number 43 on his back.
It's worth noting that his contract with The Saints is in its final moments, with only a short run of three months left, set to expire on the 12th of January, 2025.
Recalling his transfer history, in July 2021, the young McCrystal made stride onto the step into the Scottish Premiership when he signed for St Johnstone - a major milestone in his burgeoning career.
The young lad saw further action in September 2023 when he was loaned out from St Johnstone and was sent to Broomhill, a team participating in Scotland's Lowland League. Considered an important part of his development - gathering experience away from the higher tiers of the game.
Not dwelling too long in the minor leagues, in July 2024, McCrystal ended his tenure with Broomhill and returned home to St Johnstone, as per the completion of his loan. Now a more experienced player, he remains a promising talent for the future of Scottish football.
