Beau Reus, born 30 October 2001 (age 24), is a Dutch goalkeeper whose career has been shaped far more by Beveren than by anywhere else. At a commanding 6ft 6in (1.98m), he has the frame of the modern goalkeeper, though the substance of his senior football has come in Belgium rather than in passing mentions elsewhere.
He came through with Jong AZ, where his strongest league season came in 2020-21 with 15 appearances. That was the platform, but Beveren became the main part of the story. Across four seasons there he made 121 league appearances, a proper run in goal rather than a stop-start education.
Reus is now with Hearts, wearing the number 1 shirt. In 2026-27 he has made two league appearances, along with one in the League Cup and one in Europa League qualifying, taking him to four appearances in all competitions for the club.
His career to date is straightforward enough: development in the Netherlands, a substantial spell at Beveren, and a move into Scottish football with Hearts. The Beveren years remain the clear centre of it.
