Barry Douglas, born on 4th September 1989, hails from Scotland and currently serves as a defender, primarily playing left back for St Johnstone. In July 2008, Douglas kick-started his professional career at Queen's Park in the Scottish Championship where he executed 31 first team appearances and scored three goals in league matches during his debut season (2008-2009). In his subsequent season (2009-2010), Douglas maintained a consistent performance, making 35 first team appearances and scoring eight goals in league matches.
Douglas made his move from Queen's Park to Dundee United in the Premiership of Scotland in July 2010. Over the course of three seasons (2010-2013), Douglas clocked up 61 first team appearances and netted four goals in league matches.

After another worthy season in Blackburn Rovers, where he made 30 first team appearances, he returned back to Lech Poznan in Poland in July 2021 dedicating a considerable three years (2021-2024) and contributing handsomely with an impressive 46 first team appearances and a league goal added to the tally.
In June 2024, Douglas remained unattached from any club for a short period before settling down at St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership in October 2024. So far in the current season (2024-2025), he has made 13 first team appearances and has been a part of the Scottish Cup 2024-2025 with three starts for St Johnstone.
