Aston Oxborough, born on 5 September 1998 in England, is currently the goalkeeper for Motherwell. Tipping the scales at 86kg (13st 7lb), the colossal figure stands at 1.96m (6ft 5in) and can be identified sporting the number 13 jersey for Motherwell.
Noted for his considerable skills tending the net, Oxborough fetches a market value of about £345k according to Transfermarkt. His tenure with Motherwell, unfortunately, is set for expiry soon with his contract primed to cease on 31 May 2025, thereby leaving him free to explore other opportunities unless agreements of extension are made.
The goalkeeper's career, however, began at Norwich City in July 2010, where he joined as a trainee in the English Championship. Subsequent to his initial training period at Norwich, Oxborough, in search of more playing time, sought greener pastures and hence was transferred on loan to Wealdstone in the National League in England in August 2019.
Having progressed with his stint at Wealdstone, the loan term concluded and he returned to Norwich City in June 2020. Nevertheless, desire for continual growth persisted and Oxborough found himself transferred on loan once again in August 2021, this time heading to Barnet in the National League in England.
His journey did not end in England as his talent led him up north to Scotland where he joined Motherwell in the Premiership in August 2022. Since his introduction to Motherwell, Oxborough managed to leave a considerable mark, notably in the 2024/2025 League Cup season, where he started five times.
