Arjan Malić, a gifted Slovenian-born defender, arrived in this world on the 28th August 2005, which presently makes him a sprightly 20 years old. Standing tall at 1.86m (6ft 1in), this lanky powerhouse casts an impressive shadow over his opponents and tips the scales at 74kg (11st 9lb).
At Sturm Graz, in Austria's Bundesliga, Malić takes to the field donning the number 23 jersey. This promising central defender's standard of play has not been confined to the fringes of European football, however. Malić has also stepped into the international arena, representing the Bosnia-Herzegovina national team with aplomb.
By Transfermarkt's appraisal, Malić's current market value stands at about £1.3m, demonstrating the young player's promise.
Malić's first substantial transfer occurred in July 2023 when he joined the ranks of SV Ried. He had quite the busy season for the Bundesliga in Austria, making 29 appearances for the first team and managing to pop one into the back of the net. A good showing for a strapping young defender.
In July 2024, following a year of proving his worth, Malić was transferred from SV Ried to Sturm Graz for a fee of approximately £550k. A hefty sum suggests the lad showed promise. During the 2024 - 2025 season, Malić made 11 appearances for Sturm Graz, followed by a further two appearances in the current 2025-2026 season.
But Malić's exploits haven't been limited to Austria's Bundesliga. He participated in World Cup Qualifiers Europe 2024 - 2026 for Bosnia-Herzegovina with three solid starts. Moreover, he made his mark in Champions League Qualifiers 2025 - 2026 for Sturm Graz, starting once and making one appearance as a substitute.
