Born on 16 November 1998, Anthony Ralston is a Scottish footballer, hale from the fine land of Scotland. He stands at 5ft 11in (1.82m) and weighs 12st 3lb (78kg), primarily playing as a right back, donning the number 56 shirt for Celtic. This steadfast defender also has the honour of representing the Scotland national team.
Ralston's current market value is reputed to be approximately £1.3m (according to Transfermarkt).
Though a Celtic man through and through, Ralston treaded the path to Queen's Park in the Championship in Scotland on loan in July 2015, making a jovial ten first-team appearances and netting one goal in league matches, all in his debut season. By January 2016, he returned to his nest at Celtic.
Since his return, Ralston has contributed diligently to Celtic. In the 2015–2016 season, he made one solitary first-team appearance. This pattern followed into the 2016–2017 season. However, Ralston's presence on the pitch began to take an upward turn from the 2017-2018 season onwards, with a steady increase in first-team appearances. In the current season (2025-2026), Ralston has graced the field in 21 first-team appearances.
After a period at Celtic, Ralston was loaned out to Dundee United in the Premiership in March 2018, only to return to Celtic in June of the same year. His time away from Celtic Park, while short, was rather insignificant in the larger sense.
Ralston then journeyed to St Johnstone, again on loan, in September 2019. His time spent there was considerably noticeable, making 22 first team appearances in league matches for St Johnstone in the 2019-2020 season. By June 2020, Ralston was back home at Celtic.
Ralston's contribution to Celtic can hardly be understated. Since his return, he has maintained a commendable presence in the first team. In the current season (2025–2026), he has been appeared 21 times in league matches, pitching in for the team's cause.
In addition to his league contributions, Ralston has been an active competitor in the League Cup and Scottish Cup for Celtic, the World Cup Qualifiers Europe for Scotland, and even the Champions League Qualifiers and Europa League for Celtic in 2025–2026, marking his appearances with a fair share of starts and substitutes.
