Anel Ahmedhodžić, born on 26 March 1999 (age 27), is a Bosnia and Herzegovina centre-back now with Burnley. At 6ft 3in (1.90m), he is an imposing defender, and his current market value is around £15.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His strongest league season came with Sheffield United in 2022-23, when he scored six goals in 34 appearances. That return from central defence was useful rather than ornamental, and it remains the most productive campaign of his league career.
At Burnley in 2026-27, Ahmedhodžić has made six Championship appearances and one in the League Cup, giving him seven appearances in all competitions. His recent career has settled around regular first-team involvement in English football, with his profile built on size, defensive presence and the occasional contribution at the other end.
