Let's have a chat about Andrew MacLeod, shall we? Born on January 31st in the good year of 2005 right here in our wonderous land of Scotland. He's got his boots in the game as a midfielder - mostly dabbling in the role of a central midfielder for Ross County. A fairly stout lad, towering at 5ft 11in (1.82m) and weighing an ample 11st (70kg), the lad seems perfectly cut out for his role on the pitch. Of course, you can't miss him on the field as he parades around wearing the proud number 33 jersey.
Speaking of his alliance with Ross County, that's set to come to an end in May 2025. Just five more months of running up and down their turf, before the proverbial curtain closes. Such is the fleeting world of football contracts, eh?
Now, join me on a wee trip down memory lane to July 2020. That was when young MacLeod, hearty and ambitious, joined the fine lads at Ross County in the top-flight Premiership here in Scotland. A memorable day it was, no doubt.
Then, a bit of a roller coaster ensued. In January 2023, our MacLeod took a detour from Ross County in the Premiership only to turn up at Brora Rangers in the Highland League on loan until June. A journeyman of sorts, it would seem. He came back to Ross County for a quick breath only to head out the door again come July, this time off to Nairn County in the Highland League, again on loan.
After that whirlwind adventure, he returned to Ross County in January 2024 and has since knocked around the Premiership. We even got to see him kick the ball in the 2024 - 2025 League Cup for Ross County, with two starts and two appearances as a substitute under his belt. Not the headlining act yet, but every cup of tea starts with a single brew, doesn't it?
