Colombian born Andres Salazar is a formidable figure on the pitch, primarily serving as a left back for Hearts. Born on 15th January 2003, now aged 21, Salazar boasts a weight of 75kg (11st 11lb) and an impressive height of 1.82m (5ft 11in), which he uses to his advantage when asserting dominance in his defender role. Wearing the number 80 jersey, he has become a key asset for Hearts.
Salazar's market value is estimated to be around £650k, a figure provided by Transfermarkt, and his contract with Hearts is due to expire in 10 months' time, on 30 June 2025. He commands a significant presence within the team, regardless of the looming end to his current contract.
Previously, Salazar began his international career when he joined Atlético Nacional in Colombia's Primera A, in January 2021. Nonetheless, his skills were soon recognised further afield, and in August 2024, Salazar made a bold move from Atlético Nacional to Scotland's Premiership side, Hearts. This transfer marked his venture into European football and an exciting new phase in his sporting journey.
