Alex Samuel, born on 20th September 1995 in Wales, is a footballing centre-forward who now plies his trade for Ross County, sporting the number 25 jersey. Standing at 5ft 11in (1.82m) and weighing in at 11st 11lb (75kg), Samuel boasts an impressive physical presence on the pitch.

Back in September 2015, Samuel made a significant shift in his early career, trading in the Championship pastures of Swansea City for a loan spell at Greenock Morton in Scotland. During his inaugural 2015-2016 season with Greenock Morton, Samuel secured a spot in the first team, gracing the pitch 26 times and notching up two goals in league matches.
A change in scenery beckoned yet again for Samuel in January 2017, as he found himself on the move from Swansea City to spend time with Newport County in League Two on loan. His results during this season mirrored his previous stint, managing two goals from 18 first team appearances in league matches.
The Welsh forward permanently left Swansea City in July 2017, moving to League One outfit Stevenage. He earned his stripes in 21 league matches during his 2017 – 2018 season.
August of 2018 saw Samuel switch League One clubs, moving from Stevenage to Wycombe Wanderers. He remained a consistent figure in the squad, making 21 first team appearances throughout the 2020-2021 season.
Ross County welcomed Samuel into their Premiership fold in Scotland in August 2021. His appearances fluctuated somewhat over the following seasons. In his introductory 2021-2022 season, Samuel made five league appearances, this rose to ten appearances the following season, then fourteen in the 2023-2024 season, culminating in six appearances so far in the current 2024-2025 season, during which he has scored one goal.
In the midst of Samuel’s time at Ross County, a brief loan spell at Inverness CT was squeezed in during January 2024. Samuel managed to impress during his time in the Highlands, appearing 14 times and racking up four goals during the 2023-2024 season. Upon the completion of his loan, he returned to Ross County in June 2024 and has subsequently contributed to Ross County’s campaign in the League Cup for the 2024-2025 season, including one start and four appearances off the bench.
