Alex Samuel, born on 20th September 1995 in Wales, is a forward primarily accustomed to playing as a striker. Standing 5ft 11in tall (roughly 1.82m) and weighing 11 stone 11lb (approximately 75kg), he exhibited a strong presence in the box throughout his career.
In September 2015, Samuel was transferred from Championship side Swansea City to Greenock Morton, also in the Championship but in Scotland. During his debut season (2015-2016) with the Scottish side, Samuel banked 26 first-team appearances and found the net twice in league matches.
Not long after, in January 2017, Samuel was loaned out once again -- this time from Swansea to Newport County in England's League Two. In the 2016-2017 season, Samuel made 18 first-team appearances and managed another two goals in league matches.
July 2017 saw Samuel finally leave Swansea, and the loan life behind. He transferred to Stevenage in English League One. Despite making a regular 21 league appearances in the 2017-2018 season, Samuel failed to find the back of the net.
It was in August 2018 when Samuel made the move to Wycombe Wanderers, still in League One. Similar to his time at Stevenage, Samuel managed another 21 first-team appearances during the 2020-2021 season.
In August 2021, Samuel bid farewell to England and returned to Scotland -- signing for Championship side Ross County. The 2021-2022 season saw Samuel make do with five first-team appearances. Samuel became more of a regular in the following seasons though with ten first-team appearances (and one goal) in 2022-2023, 14 appearances in 2023-2024, and finally 22 appearances (alongside two goals) in the 2024-2025 season.
January 2024 brought another loan move for our forward. The destination -- Inverness CT in the Scottish League One. The half season term loan ensured 14 first-team appearances and four goals for Samuel during his time at Inverness CT.
On completion of his loan spell, Samuel returned to Ross County in June 2024. He went on to repeat his previous appearances tally at the club from the 2024-2025 season neating two additional goals to his tally.
As of June 2025, Samuel has been transferred from Ross County, however, his new club is yet to be announced.
