Alex Paulsen is a New Zealand goalkeeper, born on 4 July 2002 (age 24). A commanding 6ft 4in (1.93m), he plays for Motherwell and wears squad number 13.
His early senior league football came with Wellington Phoenix, where he made four league appearances in the 2021-22 season. That gave him a first proper foothold in senior football before his career moved on to Scotland.
At Motherwell in 2026-27, Paulsen has made one league appearance and three Conference League qualifying appearances, giving him four outings across all competitions so far. It is a modest body of work, but for a developing goalkeeper it is at least a start in a demanding environment.
