Born in Gambia on 8 April 1998, Alasana Manneh is a 26-year-old midfielder who currently plays primarily as a central midfielder for Hibernian. At 5ft 9in (1.76m) tall and weighing in at 10st 3lb (65kg), he dons the number 8 jersey for his plea and has also represented the Gambia national team.

In January 2018, Manneh was transferred from FC Barcelona B in the Spanish Second Division B/1 to Etar Veliko Tarnovo in the Bulgarian Second League on loan. Despite being his debut season (2018 - 2019) in Etar Veliko Tarnovo, Manneh made a solid 15 first-team appearances and scored two goals in league matches. The conclusion of his loan saw him return to FC Barcelona B in June 2019.
Just a month later, in July 2019, he moved again. This time, Manneh transferred from FC Barcelona B to Gornik Zabrze in Poland's Ekstraklasa. Over the course of three seasons (2019 - 2023) with Gornik Zabrze, Manneh amassed 85 first-team appearances, netting a total of six league goals before making his penultimate move in August 2022.
He transferred from Gornik Zabrze to Odense BK in the Danish 1. division for a fee hovering around ÂŁ540k. His stint with Odense BK spanned two seasons (2022 - 2024), during which time he made 39 first-team appearances and found the back of the net thrice. In the current 2024 - 2025 season, he has already chalked up 17 first-team appearances.
Intriguingly, January 2025 fostered a new journey for Manneh when he transferred from Odense BK to Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership for an undisclosed fee. It's still early days, but Manneh has made one first-team appearance to date in his inaugural season with Hibernian.
Apart from his club commitments, Manneh has shown his prowess on the international landscape as well, having participated in the World Cup Qualifiers Africa 2024 - 2026 for Gambia with three starts under his belt.
