Standing at around 5ft 8in (1.73m) tall and weighing approximately 9st 6lb (60kg), he certainly embodies the physical graft inherent in the game.
Montgomery began his football trajectory with Celtic in the Scottish Premiership as a promising trainee in July 2009. Opting for variety in his experience, Montgomery shifted to England's Fleetwood Town in the League Two in July 2023, but it was a brief stint, as he returned to Celtic in January the following year. Further loan spells continued to beckon him - a quick jaunt to Motherwell in January 2024, and a more productive engagement at Queen's Park in the Championship where he made 12 first team appearances and netted a singular goal in the 2024-25 season.
Eventually, he made his way to Livingston in July 2025.
