Adam Idah, born 11 February 2001 in the Republic of Ireland, currently plies his trade in the forward line for Swansea City, where he's found a home in the highly contested number 33 jersey. Standing at 6ft 2in (1.9m) and weighing 13st (83kg), the striker exhibits a potent physical presence on the pitch. Aside from his club commitments, he has also donned the colours of the Republic of Ireland on an international level.
A Transfermarkt estimate places his current market value at around £6m. Idah's footballing journey officially kicked off in July 2017, when he was accepted as a trainee at Norwich City in the Championship. Between the 2019 - 2020 season and the 2024 - 2025 season, he exhibited an increasingly important role, making 100 first team league appearances and netting 15 goals.
A loan spell at Celtic materialised in February 2024, during which he made 15 appearances and struck the back of the net eight times. Upon his return to Norwich City in July 2024, he added only one more league appearance to his tally. However, the seemingly short stay at Norwich was soon followed by a permanent transfer to Celtic for a fee around £8.5m.
During the 2024 - 2025 season and the early stages of the 2025 - 2026 season, Idah impressed with a total of 37 appearances and 13 goals. His form at Celtic was intercepted by a move to Swansea in September 2025 for an undisclosed fee. So far in the 2025 - 2026 season, he's notched 14 appearances and two goals for Swansea City.
In addition to league commitments, Idah has shone on the international stage as well, journeying through various campaigns. The 2024 - 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, Euro Qualifiers 2022 - 2024, and Nations League 2024 - 2025 saw him accumulate one, two, and one goals respectively, suggesting an exciting path ahead in his career.
During his tenure at Celtic, Idah demonstrated an uncanny ability to find the back of the net, transforming into a key asset for the Scottish side. Despite only spending just over a season with the Celts, his goal tally, particularly in the 2024 - 2025 season, reaffirmed his credibility as a reliable frontman. His departure to Swansea City, no doubt, left fans lamenting the loss of such a promising talent. Nevertheless, his contributions to Celtic during his spell remain etched in the annals of the club.
