Adam Idah was born on the 11th of February, 2001 in the Republic of Ireland. This makes him 25 at the time of this writing. Idah, primarily a striker, currently represents Swansea City on the pitch. He stands at an impressive 6ft 2in (1.9m) and weighs in at around 13st (83kg). Idah doesn't just show his prowess at club level, but also represents his country, having earned caps for the Republic of Ireland's national team. He proudly wears the number 33 jersey for his club.
Being a successful player comes with its rewards, and Idah's market value reflects this. According to Transfermarkt, he is currently valued at around £6m.
Idah's professional career sees him venturing to England in July 2017; joining Norwich City as a trainee. His tenure at the Canaries was filled with many first-team appearances, starting from the 2019 – 2020 season. He progressively increased his appearances - and goals - across each subsequent season until 2023 - 2024. After a full season with Norwich, he made a brief one-match appearance the following year.
But February 2024 would bring a change for young Idah, as he was loaned out to Celtic. The Scottish Premiership club proved a fertile ground for him as he made 15 first-team appearances and netted an encouraging eight goals in that season. He continued to impress in the following season, with 35 appearances and 13 goals.
Upon the completion of his loan period in July 2024, Idah was swiftly returned to Norwich. But fate had other ideas, as he was transferred back to Celtic a month later for a fee of around £8.5m. During his tenure at the Scottish club, he maintained a steady performance record with a consistent number of appearances and a decent goal tally. In the present 2025 - 2026 season, he has made two appearances so far for Celtic.
Despite his impressive performance at Celtic, Idah was transferred once again in September 2025. This time, he was sent to ply his trade with Swansea City for an undisclosed transfer fee. He made a strong start to his time at the club, with 18 first-team appearances and three goals in the current season. Not just a club performer, Idah has also showcased his skills in the international stage, participating in the 2024 - 2026 World Cup Qualifiers for the Republic of Ireland, where he scored one goal in five appearances as a substitute.
