In July 2017, Idah initiated his professional football career with Norwich City in the Championship in England, joining as a trainee. From the 2019-2020 season through the 2024-2025 season, he made a significant contribution to the Canaries with a multitude of appearances and scores. However, it was in the 2023-2024 season when he displayed remarkable form, involving himself in 28 games and scoring six goals in league matches.
His performances clearly caught the eye of the Celtic recruitment team, and he was loaned to the Scottish Premiership giants in February 2024. Within the Celtic fold, Idah demonstrated his potential, earning himself a permanent move to the Glasgow club for £8.5m in August 2024. His career at Celtic Park was reasonably successful. In the 2023-2024 season he made 15 appearances and scored eight goals in the league and practically doubled his output the following season, netting 13 times in 35 games.
However, Idah's Celtic journey was cut short in September 2025, when he transferred to Swansea City in the Championship in England for an undisclosed fee. For the Swans, in the current 2025-2026 season, Idah has made 18 first team appearances and scored three goals in league matches.
Separately, he also took part in the League Cup 2025-2026 for Swansea City with two starts. Concurrently, he proudly represented his country on the international stage, making contributions in the World Cup Qualifiers Europe 2024-2026 for the Republic of Ireland, scoring one goal in five appearances as a substitute.
Despite his transfer to Swansea, his exploits with Celtic continue to resonate with the Hoops faithful, a true testament to his talent and contributions to the club's successes during his stint at Celtic Park.
