Adam Idah was born on 11 February 2001 in the Republic of Ireland and is a forward, who is mainly deployed as a striker for Swansea City. He stands at 6ft 2in (1.9m) and weighs 13 stone (83kg), wearing the number 33 jersey on his back. Notably, Idah has also essayed roles in the Republic of Ireland's national team.
Pegged at a current market value of €5.5m (approximately £4.5m) according to Transfermarkt, Idah began his journey in professional football in July 2017 as a trainee at Norwich City in the Championship in England.
Having made 12 first team appearances in his debut season during 2019 - 2020 at Norwich City, Idah gradually increased his contributions over subsequent seasons, peaking in the 2023 - 2024 season with 28 first team appearances and 6 goals in league matches. In the following season, however, he made only one first team appearance for Norwich City.
In February 2024, in a turn of events that would see him swap the pastures of England for Scotland, Idah joined Celtic in the Premiership on loan. July 2024 saw Idah return to Norwich City from Celtic, upon the completion of his loan. He ran his course with Norwich City with commendable performances before eventually transferring back from Norwich City to Celtic in August 2024 for a substantial fee of approximately £8.5m. Following a solid performance with Celtic, Idah transferred to Swansea City in the Championship in England for an undisclosed fee in September 2025.
In his current season (2025 - 2026) at Swansea City, Idah has notched up 18 first team appearances and hit the back of the net thrice. In addition, he partook in the League Cup 2025 - 2026 for Swansea City with two starts, and the World Cup Qualifiers Europe 2024 - 2026 for the Republic of Ireland, scoring a goal in five appearances as a substitute.
Idah's time at Celtic marked a successful period in his career, where he proved himself to be a significant asset to the team.
