Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to present to you the story of Abdallah Sima – a veritable globe-trotter in the breathtaking world of football pawnbrokers. This chap has seen more loan slips than a sponge sees dishwater. C'est la vie, I suppose.
Starting off his career at the famed footballing utopia of SILON Táborsko in the National Football League in Czech Republic, Abdallah Sima was transferred to Slavia Prague - also in the sports mecca of Czech, in August 2020 for a fee so shrouded in mystery that not even Sherlock and Watson would venture a guess.
At the new precinct, our man managed to net 11 goals in 21 appearances in his debut season, 2020 - 2021. His following season was less than prolific with a meagre three league appearances, but nobody's counting.
Off to England next in August 2021 for a crisp sum of £7m to Brighton & Hove Albion. Don't unpack though, Abduallah, it's off to Stoke City on loan for you before the ink has barely dried on the contract.
The rest of 2021 - 2022 saw him don the shirt for a stunning two league matches at Stoke, before returning to his Brighton & Hove Albion lockers. Can't see that they missed him much.
His apparent fetish for frequent flyer miles saw Sima transferred on loan again in July 2022, this time to the Ligue 1 outfit, Angers, in France. Warming up the bench again, eh? Oh, wait, incorrect assumption - he actually played 34 matches scoring five goals here. Must have impressed someone.
Returning from loan in June 2023, Brighton & Hove Albion must have been thrilled to welcome back their peripatetic player. Alas, Rangers in the Scottish Premiership though, thought he'd do well in Scottish air for a change, and off went Sima for another loan spell in July 2023. A decent 25 appearances and 11 goals scored speaks well.
Back to England in June 2024, but hold on to that air-miles collectors card, because August 2024 saw him off to Brest in the Ligue 1 in France, again on loan. Sima's name on the team sheet has appeared a staggering three times so far this current season, 2024 - 2025.
The young man seems to be one for the jet-setting life, then, with more departures than your average airport. One can only hope he's accumulating a rather healthy number of frequent flyer miles. And thus, intrepid readers, ends our whirlwind tour of the tumultuous, transcontinental tale of Abdallah Sima. Best of luck to him. He'll certainly need it.
