Aaron Tshibola, born on 2 January 1995 (age 31), is a DR Congo international midfielder currently with Kilmarnock. An imposing 6ft 3in (1.91m) presence in central midfield, he wears squad number 36 at Rugby Park.
He came through at Reading, where his early senior education included a loan spell at Hartlepool United. That sort of move is rarely glamorous, but it gave him first-team football at an age when promising midfielders can otherwise spend too long being promising.
Tshibola moved on to Aston Villa in 2016 and had further loan spells, including time at Nottingham Forest, MK Dons and Kilmarnock. His Rugby Park spell proved more than a passing stop. He later returned to Kilmarnock, and his most productive league season came there in 2020-21, when he scored three goals in 31 league appearances.
In 2026-27, Tshibola has made four league appearances and two League Cup appearances for Kilmarnock, while also playing three times for DR Congo in African World Cup qualifying. His current market value is around £128,000, according to Transfermarkt. His career has been built across loans, returns and steady senior football, with Kilmarnock the recurring thread.
