Australian-born midfielder, Aaron Mooy, was cast into the spotlight of the football world on September 15, 1990. Standing at 5ft 8in (1.74m) and tipping the scales at 11st 4lb (72kg), Mooy proved his abilities on the pitch predominantly in the role of a central midfielder. The Aussie talent represented his national side in numerous international showcases.

Mooy's journey into professional football began in October 2010 when he became part of St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership. In his opening season, Mooy was selected for 13 first team encounters in league fixtures. This promising display continued into the 2011-2012 season, with Mooy making eight first team appearances and even netting a goal.

Embracing his Antipodean roots, Mooy transferred to Western Sydney Wanderers in the A-League in Australia in July 2012. Mooy's two seasons with the club saw him take to the pitch 45 times, scoring four goals.

The Aussie adventurer then transferred to Melbourne City in the A-League in July 2014, where his attacking prowess grew, marked by 18 goals in his 49 appearances over two seasons.

In July 2016, Mooy left his homeland transferring to Manchester City, a Premier League club in England. Although notably, Mooy's time in Manchester was short lived, following swift transfer to Huddersfield Town on loan the very same month.

Mooy's stint at Huddersfield Town was initially a loan, but in July 2017, an £8m outright transfer saw Mooy make the Yorkshire side his permanent home. During his time with the Terriers, he displayed significant contributions to the team's midfield effort over four seasons, with his jersey number called 111 times, resulting in 11 goals.

In August 2019, Mooy was loaned to Brighton & Hove Albion in the same League. Generating reliable results for the Seagulls, Mooy was eventually transferred for £5.4m in January of 2020, with that season seeing him wear the Alibion's jersey 31 times, scoring twice.

August of 2020 witnessed another migration for Mooy, this time to Shanghai Port in the Chinese Super League. Across two seasons, Mooy found the back of the net six times during his 23 appearances for the club.

In July of 2022, Mooy found his way back to Scotland, joining Celtic in what was a significant period for the player and the club. In the 2022-2023 season, the Aussie talent made 29 first team appearances for Celtic, demonstrating his aptitude for finding the goal, outmanoeuvring the goalkeeper on four occasions.

Aaron Mooy's impressive record of transfers, his constant persistence on the field, and knack for goals highlight an illustrious career that has spanned continents.
