Belgian-born footballer, Jason Denayer, was born on 28 June 1995 making him currently 29 years of age. Standing at 1.84m (approximately 6ft) and weighing around 80kg (approximately 12st 8lb), his primary position on the field is as a central defender, a role he occupies for Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai.
Denayer's football career commenced in earnest in July 2013 with his signing to Manchester City in the Premier League. However, it was not until August 2014 that he transferred on loan to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership. Undoubtedly, his debut season at Celtic in 2014/2015 was significantly eventful, with 29 first team appearances and five goals scored in league matches to his name.
Following his stint at Celtic, Denayer went on loan to Galatasaray in the Süper Lig in Turkey in August 2015. Over the course of the 2015/2016 season, he made 17 first team appearances in league matches. The next season saw another loan transfer, this time to Sunderland in England's Championship, where he made 24 league appearances during the 2016/2017 season.
Denayer's football career saw him return to Galatasaray on loan in August 2017, where he subsequently made 17 first team appearances during the 2015/2016 season and 22 appearances in the 2017/2018 season.
In a significant development, Denayer transferred from Manchester City to Olympique Lyonnais in Ligue 1 in France in August 2018. The transfer fee was reported to be around £5.9 million. His time at Lyon was marked by consistent appearances and an occasional goal, with figures most notably reaching 31 appearances and three goals during the 2021/2022 season.
Most recently, in September 2022, Denayer transferred from Lyon to the Pro League in UAE, to join Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai. However, he has yet to make any first team appearances in the 2024/2025 current season.
